It's with a heavy heart I'm letting others know that Glen passed away last night. One of the first peeps I met way back when I first joined GTAMC, even cooler he only lived a few blocks away at that time.
We will always miss you.
Rest in Peace.

i first met Glen and his wife more than 2o years ago when the then current GTAMC did a trip to Ohio.
we hit it off and have been friends ever since. Glen had a lot of health problems, but over the years fought most of it off. there were many times when i like to think i helped talk things out when he felt hopeless, and with my own medical problems to compare we became closer.
not quite 3 weeks ago i collapsed, winding up with a pacemaker installed, and Glen called me every day for a week to make sure i was recovering.
i happened to speak to him yesterday afternoon and he was in absolutely great spirits. he'd gotten a new roof for his house just the day before and was ecstatic over the final product.
Gail is planning his last rites, and is a strong woman, but if those who knew Glen can support her i am sure she will be grateful.

Mr. Christmas! Oh no, so sad to hear this. Condolences.

As with many, knew Glen from the early GTAMC days. Even went partners on parting an old Fox. Good times.

I always thought of Glen as an uncle to me. Picked me up from school and was always over at our home helping my dad out and hanging out.
A great person.

MARTIN, Glen Michel Martin
https://durhamobituaries.com/imagesBanners/McEachnie-Funeral-300x64.JPG

https://canadianobituaries.com/images/ObitImages2024/Durham/2024-05/Martin_Glen.jpgMARTIN, Glen Michel - Beloved husband, father, and friend, passed away suddenly on May 4, 2024 in his 70th year.

Born on November 18, 1954, in Montreal, Quebec, to Vera Esson (Boroday) and Douglas Martin, both predeceased.

Younger brother to Don Martin (deceased) and Uncle to Don Jr. (Sandra) and Patrick.

He will be deeply missed by his devoted wife of 44 years, Gail, daughters Erin and Ashley (Marc), fur baby Phoebe, and countless friends and colleagues whose lives he touched with his warmth and generosity.
Glen was a man of many passions and talents. A lifelong car enthusiast, Glen found joy in collecting, repairing and outfitting classic Mustangs and other muscle cars, of which he owned many throughout the years.

A naturally gifted handyman, there was no household repair that was beyond Glen’s capabilities. He shared the wealth of these talents and passions with the people around him, always willing to lend a hand (or a tool!) to a friend in need.

Glen's quiet legacy of love, compassion, and strength will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to have known him.

Though he may be gone from our sight, his spirit will live on in our hearts forever.

A memorial service to celebrate Glen's life will be held on Wednesday, May 15, 2024, 3pm at , McEACHNIE FUNERAL HOME (https://www.arbormemorial.ca/en/mceachnie.html) , 28 Old Kingston Road, Pickering Village, Ajax ON, L1T 2Z7.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to Sick Kids Foundation or the charity of their choice, in Glen's honor.
