So over the winter Darren at Rev'N High installed new brakes on my car, the Baer Track 4 setup, with Baer pads and Baer rotors, matchy-matchy.

Picked up the parts from Shannon at WMS Racing.

Here are the fronts:

So far this year they have 2 races and roughly 800-900 laps and some street driving in between. Pads are like new and rotors are in near perfect shape other than some slight discoloration from the heat. Absolutely 0 warping, no loss of braking or pedal feel even after a hard 30 minute session in 80+ F weather. They're squealing free and make a surprisingly low amount of brake dust considering the hell I put them through, routinely stopping hard from over 220km/h and many downhill braking zones. On the looks side I've banged the inside of the wheel off of the caliper numerous times when mounting or removing the wheels and even under extreme heat there is no chipping, peeling or discoloration of the powder coating. If you're looking for an upgrade in the brakes department I'd consider these a perfect upgrade.

Here's a video of how good these things work.

For reference, it's a +700HP Corvette ZR1 with a pulley upgrade, tune, headers and exhaust as well as the carbon ceramic brakes and a set of Hooiser R6 slicks vs. my Nitto NT01s. You can see how he puts massive distance on me during the straights. With my passenger we're within 150lbs of each other in terms of vehicle weight. Couldn't shake me for 20 minutes. He was ahead on the straights and lost the advantage everywhere else.

That ZR-1 must feel like a dream on that course!

I know, I know. I'm such an asshole for posting content ;)

The ZR-1 is pretty bad ass, I can't lie. I hate to say it but of the cars in the advanced session that aren't race cars they hold there own against anything. I've never seen a McLaren beat up on one, it's a hell of a machine for the money.

The only problem with Corvettes are their drivers though, this guy was cool, but man 'o man, lots of t-shirts tucked into the jeans...
