My Camaro was parked on the street on Saturday night in Mississauga in a residential area and it was hit on the left rear quarter panel and also slightly on the left rear bumper area. Unfortunately no one left a note and they took off like the scumbag that they are. I managed to remove most of the marks except for one 4" long scratch that seems to have made it's way to the base coat but not through it.

I a hoping this dent can be removed with some sort of paintless dent removal technique and that the original shape can be restored without any damage being noticed. By looking at the pictures do you think this is possible?

Also any good shops that people can recommend to do this, and what I should be looking at paying? I hear of one called chipmasters but I wanted to see if there were any better options.

Sorry to see it damaged, dirt bags never stop to fess up.
As for the dent, typically when dented along a body line like that (spoiler outline) they have limited results. Hopefully someone will chime in with info on an operator with the right touch to get you fixed up.

Sorry to see that, I don't do PDR but I am a body man. That wont come out, its too stretched now. A PDR guy might make it better but they wont be able to get it all out.
Almost 75% of the work I do is for stuff like that, the person who hit it almost always is long gone and the car owner is paying. Probably 10% of the people that do the damage pay. Its a shame, the assholes that hit you just don't care. I dread leaving my car in a parking lot. Parking spots are way to small and nobody knows how to drive.

Highly doubt its going to comeout with PDR. Had a golf ball hit my 1/4 panel at the course a few years ago on my Trans Am. Has to have it filled and blown in. Still fuckin pissed about it but what can ya do. Hope it looks good when its painted.

PDR won't be able to get that completely out, as stated if it was in the middle of the panel maybe, but where the body is creased won't come out easily, they could probably get it to 80%, in which case I'd just leave it at that.

Well most PDR guys said they couldn't do it to 100%, but Marco at Auto Magicians in Mississauga said he would be able to. He had great reviews on various online forums, and I decided to leave it with him.

Took him approximately one day, and it is back to looking like it was. He did a damn good job. All that remains is a light 4" scratch which I may cover with touch up paint and wet sand / compound until it is not noticeable.

Damn that's impressive, $100/hr for that kind of work is pretty reasonable if you ask me. Figure it would be that much or more for it to be filled and painted, and this way your panels still match up. Awesome work there.
