So im going to be ordering MM coilovers soon and am looking at spring rates. I am running Tokico Illumina's so I know nothing higher than 325.
I was thinking 300lb springs, it's mainly a street car that goes to the strip once in a while but I really want to try out the road course this year.
I like the car low as well so I was going to go with their 10" spring. Any thoughts or feedback? I prefer the ride as well to be on the firmer side.

I'd suggest 275lb. Decent balance between your intended uses.

But I feel like we have already discussed this. ;)

In my defense that was focused more on install and got side tracked with CC plates and blah blah blah....:P

So noted.
Did you or are you buying MM CC plates?

I have the Steeda Steel plates which are almost identical to the MM plates for a Fox so ill be sticking with those. Spoke to Steeda and MM and both stated I should be good to go.

Mine are 300lb but it is a 2003 Mach1 so slightly different car than yours. I only notice them being too stiff on the highways in Detroit but otherwise I don't let it bother me ... because racecar.

LOL!!!!! I'm on the fence about 275 or 300lb. If ride quality is pretty close i'd prefer the 300lb.

Big difference in ride between the two
Yes I've run both in my own.

MM recommended 350's for my Fox and for my 50/50 street and track driving
They are on the stiff side but reasonable enough for street

My fatso vert runs 350 lb Hypercoils on Koni D/As on the front. MM recommend the front spring rate to match my oddball short torque arm / phb / soft 170 lb/inch rear spring setup.

275's would be way more comfy for the street, especially if you're not running super sticky tires. When I swapped out my NT555's for shaved NT01's (255/40/17 all around) the car suddenly worked perfectly; otherwise it's a little oversprung or at least overdamped, lol

Whatever you choose, they aren't too expensive and easy to swap out. So I would start at 275 and work your way up if you need.

What springs and shocks on the rear? Any other upgrades? Ie. bigger sway bars etc.

Tokico Illumina's all around with Eibach pro kit springs. Stock sway bars and the fronts have Energy Suspension bushings and end links.
CC plates, Steeda alum LCA's.

don't forget you will need to balance your front and rear spring rates and roll centres - so the rear suspension bind and motion/control arms/T/A/PHB will play a part in what you should be using.
I would email MM your complete suspension and car setup incl weight, tires and wheels etc. They will get you in the ballpark.

Sounds like a good idea Paul.

If anything it'll help the launches....front suspension will move alot easier on launch and should remove about 30lbs off the front. May relocate the battery as well or possibly still look at a lightweight one.

Not the hot set up for the drag strip but yes will perform great on the street n road course.

Slick_89_Hatch

Yeah, I realize it's not the best set up for drag, but from my readings should still be an improvement over the cars current set up because of the weight loss and the ability for the suspension to move easier...I guess we'll see!

I will be doing the control arms...and I just realized I was off on my weight savings...probably more like 20 not 30lbs.

I'd love the K member as well but not in the cards for this year....or maybe ever...lol.
