S197 wheels on SN95

Anyone running 197 wheels on your SN95 / New Edge? If so, spacer you needed (heard it's 1")?

Rick, a 1" spacer should be plenty, are you talking about OEM or aftermarket wheels? Typically the SN95 wheels are in the +24 to +30 offset range depending on width, and the S197 wheels are +45 to +50. If it's a 9.5" wheel, those are +45. So a 1" spacer will leave you at +20, which would fit on your car, but be out pretty close to the fender. What would probably be better is a 3/4" spacer, something like these, but then you would have longer studs all the time:

Also, a bit out of the way for you to come, but you are welcome to borrow one of the 9.5" Steeda wheels off my car to test fit, they are also +45.

Link also shows they make a cool removal / installer, nice.
Only downside to the longer studs, would need open end nuts for my street wheels.
Was hoping the swap would use a 1" bolt on spacer, can't afford to be extra snug to the fenders on lapping days.

Rick look into McGard open end nuts, the ones I have for my long studs and RaceStars come with a screw in black cap. Doesn't look too bad in my opinion.

That's a good option but i think Mcgard only sells that in a shank style nut, not a cone seat like Rick would probably need

Another option is to get an svo style lug nut that is quite a bit longer than the regular mustang lug nuts. If you go that route shoot me a pm i know where you can get them still.

If you Get the rims, you are halfway to the Shelby/brembo 14" Brake upgrades....... ooooh I hear someone is selling as set of those around here too........ you wouldn't haved to mess with spacers after that. lol ;)

If I didn't already have street rotors and pads + track rotors and pads geared to the Cobra R style Brembo's, would jump on the Shelby stuff. The 14" four piston stuff is cool but the 15" six piston stuff is amazing.

Combo of Brembo's + CarboTech pads made a huge difference. Topping the hill at Mosport at big speed is no longer an oh shit moment. In a lighter or one that doesn't see those kinds of speeds, Cobra stuff with good pads works awesome.

Am I missing something? Why is there such a big difference in rears from Cobra PBR's to Cobra R Brembos? Doesn't the Cobra and the Cobra R both use the same rear setup?
