Do you have a set now that you want customized, or full on build from scratch?

Talk Darrin at rev'n high in Pickering. A shop that attaches to his quoted me 1000 plus materials for custom headers.

GT Custom Exhaust on Brock +401 in Pickering does the nicest exhaust work I've seen; mandrel bender and the best TIG welds. He always has high end OEM fixes in there (Porsche, Audi, etc) and does a lot of from scratch turbo systems. Almost everything they do is stainless. He road races a Lexus rwd and a couple of other cars as well as an R6 - really good guy.

- no disrespect to Darrin, who is also very good.

You'd want to contact Eddy Bryck at The Chassis Shop (beside Rev N High) in Pickering.

Does your contact build headers Paul?

Yes, Matt has built headers for various turbo cars I believe. If I was springing for that kind of coin, I would get stepped headers built, like what Suki has on his blown 340 'Cuda.

For a turbo application, I recommend cast iron ONLY.

yep...there are definitely advantages to cast...but somehow I doubt I can find a foundry

willing to cast one set for a reasonable price...theres a few cast manifolds that could be modified

but would have to be welded...so I could have the same problem...simple log headers like this

similar to this Honda turbo manifold...http://honda-tech.com/forced-induction-16/finally-turbo-manifold-test-what-happens-when-log-manifold-changed-full-race-manifold-925312/

If you do want to investigate the cast route: contact 5.0LMiata (Brett) from the other board (not sure if he's on here or not). He works for WesCast, they make engine manifolds for GM. If anybody could hook you up, it would be him.

I worked for Western Foundry (now WesCast) in Brantford during a couple of work terms. Really cool place!

The reason I ditched my TT 5.0 was cracking headers. NVH coupled with 1500*F temps and ridiculous expansion rates destroyed both the welds and the mild steel (particularly the collectors).
Shop around for a gently used Incon system if you can find it.

Incon was good set up on a fox. I think you had to notch the frame to make it fit..
Hillbilly style it Glen.. lol

Good luck finding one of those. And if it's anywhere near decent/complete = $$$. (Which Tailites won't do).

Doesn't matter if you've got a Steam Fitter's ticket good to 5000psi, sh*t material is sh*t material.
