Finally got to fire up the car , it started right up . Idled crazy high . Fixed a vacuum leak and a small fuel leak and tried again. Fired up no problem and slowly idled down to about 850rpm after about 45 second of high idle .

My question is , how long will the engine need to run before it using all the sensors and has good
Throttle response ? Car responds to throttle but hangs for quite awhile and takes a little bit to come back to complete idle.

Overall I am pretty pumped it even ran. I swapped out the heads , intake and set the valves myself. So I pretty pumped it runs .

Few gentle miles should see it work things out.
Congrats on getting it fired up.

This threads needs a video :)

Today's rings will be fully broken in within the first 30 seconds of run time. Sensors etc are active immediately so get them set up right away as it may be signs of bad vacuum lines or sensors etc.
Congrats on the run
