Hello everyone,

It's me, the one who has not had a pretty year with his 05GT.

So the cat's are going bad, got myself a below threshold code that keep coming and going, there rattling going on in the pipe area and the outlaws on my cars no longer sounds so loud, actually they sound pretty muffled. Weirdly my girlfriend even told me the car doesn't sound like it use to LOL.

Wanted to know what would be a good replacement? High flows or just go back to OEM replacements?!

Not too worried about loudness, got use to the outlaws within a month. neighbours don't even care with our biker neighbours around lol.

Please give me some advice, it be much appreciated.

(As always sorry for the poor English, my grammar still sucks horribly.

I am not familiar with cat replacement, never done one in my life.

What would be a cost price to get that kind of stuff done in the GTA?

its probably going to be cheaper to go with an aftermarket cat setup.

Guy has a used stock pipe dirt cheap, long ways away but priced very right.

Just need to get a feel if the seller is selling a legit decent pipe.
In the meantime, don't beat on it with the cat problem.

I think The MustangShow has the stock h-pipe from his GT500 for sale. I know the pipe won't fit, but could always salvage the factory cats.

Hey Rick, I had one of my Truck drivers picked them up. Thank you so much for your findings for me!
:P 95 bucks for H pipe + stock mufflers + free delivery I think I just saved an upwards of or 500-600 bucks? loll

Hell I can probably resell the muffler for 50-60 bucks and gain some lost for labour.

Question for you all, Should I have A shop, chop and weld in an X pipe? Or just leave it as is?

I plan on cutting the H and putting this perhaps would it be cheaper for a shop to use make it?

More cost effective to buy a new X with cats.

Would GT500 cats work on a SN95 if they could be cut and welded in?
Anyone?

They seem to have O2 sensor bungs in them, and no air tube. Could the air tubes be plumbed into the O2 bungs?

Bitch of a job to even attempt as the cats sit virtually right at the manifolds. To me, something you'd attempt yourself, doesn't make sense when your paying labour.
