Looking at picking this up. It's a former Halton Regional K9 unit (I'm guessing it was a K9 unit as it has copious amounts of dog hair), with about 167,000 on it.

Anything I should look out for?

Looks like a good deal, let me know if it doesn't work out, lol.
But look at the paint closely, they often cut the clear when removing the lettering, otherwise make sure there is no check engine light on but that the light works. Also be prepared to do basically a TON of safety work, looking at the other cars on the lot there is no way they bought that car, had it detailed and didn't look at the safety stuff, lol.

It's either a typo or there is an issue they'd prefer to not talk about. Just take a look at the 2010 with approx same kms for more money. Could be as simple as it was smashed hard at one time, worth asking them whats what though, hell of a deal if it's legit.

No check engine light, or ABS/Airbag. And it wasn't detailed, because if it were, then that detailer should be fired. As for the paint, I'm not really all that worried. It's more than likely going to see some hail damage at some point. lol

It's legit. Unless there's something significantly wrong with it, that I didn't notice. The CarProof is 100% clean. It is missing the back seat/seat belts, which isn't a huge deal. I can get them cheap at a wrecker, as for what else it might need for safety, I'm guessing it'll need brakes.

I'm guessing brakes and a bunch of front end parts, crown Vic's go through them pretty quickly and cop cars especially. Good luck with it though, looks like a solid deal.

Even if it needs some front end and brakes, hell of a deal.
Why not pay them their inspection fee to see what it requires for safety?

I doubt they have the facilities to do inspections.

Keep in mind with Police and similar service vehicles although it has only 167,000 on it there is a strong possibility that it has been sitting idling close to 7/24. Still looks like a pretty good deal even assuming the worst for a safety.

Ask if you can take it for a safety. (leave a deposit)
Price seems low.

I asked about that, and they can't due to liability.

I thought it was suspicious, but confirmed with the general manager of the dealership I work at, that it is definitely the case with as-is cars.

They won't let you take it to get it checked and you think they can't check it (did you actually ask?), so where does that leave you? Might leave you with a lump sitting in your driveway and $1500 out of pocket.

I say buyer beware.

I did ask, they don't have a hoist there.

Did you notice how much they're asking for the 2010 (year older) Interceptor...?

Something is up with that $1500 one for sure or else they'd be asking similar coin. He's a used car dealer and I'm sure he knows how to make a profit where he can.

Maybe a K9 car with a wet dog stink that will never go away and will only get worse when it rains or is humid?
