Hi there,
I have a 2010 Mustang (V6 base) and while driving normally the service advancetrac light came on. I turned off the car and turned it back on, the light went away but came back again. It also caused the traction control off. Does anyone had this problem before. I just wanted to get some info on it before I bring it to a dealership to get it checked out. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Seeing a few having that issue online, some it's been the brake light switch, bulk of them the module itself. If the lights staying on, should be showing a code, have it scanned to confirm.
You still under any warranty?

No warranty. Bought this used in the summer. I haven't driven it since the light came on as the weather has been a bit bad. I'm planning on trying to reset the light and drive around to see if it comes back. Have been searching the net on this, a lot of people have this issue but the fixes ranges from a loose sensor to issues with steering. Not really sure where to start. I was thinking on taking off the tires and looking for the sensors to make sure they are not loose. Anyone has any pics of where these sensors are located?

A good start would be to hook it up to an OBDII reader and see if there is a code logged and what it says.

Scan to see codes. Oddly enough, many see the issue self correct with some additional driving.

This happened to me when my car was new. It went away and never came back. All steering and traction modes still function perfectly.

Have you done any burn outs or donuts? That's what made mine freak out lol

It's ok Rick. Ray would never do such a thing on the street. I'm sure it was a private road some were. ;)

No donuts, just regular driving. It seems to have gone away for now. Will keep an eye out and read the code if the light comes back. Thanks all for the feedback :)
