Removing NOS

I know nothing about NOS. A car I'm interested in currently has everything setup and useable to run NOS. Can I remove it and put it back to NA form or will I have to replace parts like heads etc.?

take it off...the only thing to be concerned with is the tune...rich...lean

what car...what heads...engine specs etc would help
