Installed the rear 13.8 inch brake kit for 05-09. I bought caliper relocation brackets on EBay (ncmustangparts) for $250 CDN delivered. These brackets move your stock caliper to a higher position to accommodate the larger rotor. Picked up 13.8 inch 2013 GT500 rotors for $170. Here's what the install looked like. Huge difference in rotor diameter. And it perfectly compliments my front Brembo kit. So for $420 all in, I was able to upgrade the rear and do this without removing the axles like some other kits require. Essentially, this is a knock off of the Baer Eradispeed kit that retails for about $1,000 CDN. Will let you know how it performs after I bed the new pads in - which are GT500 pads I had kicking around.

OK, here's the second wife (or is it first???)

Rear rotors have black paint on them and I need to wear it off. So its a little dark in this shot. What is the point of that paint anyways?

They're coated so they don't rust during shipment/warehousing, plus it will stay on where the pad doesn't contact so the hats and edges don't rust.
Looks like a good upgrade. I was shocked at how different my brakes felt after swapping from GT rear rotors to Cobra rear rotors on my '01, had to pull the axles though, lol.

Got it, thanks for the info. I thought there was purely a temporary aesthetic benefit. Clearly more going on than that!

I haven't felt any difference yet, but I expect I will once they bed in and the paint is worn away.
