Overheated today on the 404 north bound. Was around 3.45 stop and go temp gauge went high by the time i got over it puked. Good thing I have CAA plus was on a flatbed in less than an hour. Got home topped up antifreeze seems to be ok.:mechanic:

Was fan running when you pulled over? As they get older, '99 up GT / Cobra fans are prone to randomly crapping out only to work again later. If so, OEM Ford only, knock offs are extremely unreliable.

This reminds me I have to check my fan, and to remember how to do that.

Good question ZR I was too pissed and worried to even check. Was working when I got home and cycled.I was thinking stuck thermostat. Running a oem 192. Any recommendations on which one is best.

OEM is normally very reliable, I tend to stick with them except when they don't offer the temp I need. Are your temps normally consistent?

Yeah temp is always consistent. Never had an issue, been running leen so with hotter than normal cylinder temps and high outside temp. I think the combo was too much. Thanks Scott me too CAA showed up in under an hour.
