Need opinions. Looking into new tires for next season. Kinda liking BFG comp g2? Nice looking tire and price is reasonable (I think). Any suggestions or input. Second... Dieing to put a trunk release in but to cheap to pay $21 U,S to have a $29 part delivered. Any ideas where to get a kit here?
Thx

I have Nitto 555s on Ol Paint and they have worked extremely well. That being said, I read a review about the new Firestone Firehawk Indy 500s and they look like a very good tire as well, and may be my next purchase.

How much were they?

I don't recall the exact price but they were comparable to the Nittos and the BFGs. Go to TireRack.com to compare and read the review.

I have those BFG Comps on my DD, I have no complaints with them.

^Had them on my Bullitt, seem to be a bit of a hard compound, so more of a long-lasting tire than a sticky tire.

I have continental extreme contact (dw) summer only- I think they are comparable in price- can't complain- sticky, good in wet, and very good ride because of the soft sidewall. 2nd season so far, wear has been pretty good- just another option to look at.

Nankang NS2R. There an over seas tire I pick up new for very cheap. I have been very surprised with the tires running them for the last 3 summers. Sidewall is pretty stiff and they are soft compound. They are bad in a very hard downpour, average in light rain. They accel in dry weather traction and grip so much that I have to be careful emergency braking now to get rear ended

You pick them up from your frequent trips to Taiwan?

Seems to get decent reviews. How much is 'cheap'?

Ventus v12 seem to review well and have lasted me a while but I don't have the experience of others with different tires.
Also there is a guy selling 05-09 parts on Kijiji (listed on here) that's selling the trunk release switch kit. Or if you find me a link to the install directions I could prob help you make a kit yourself

Trunk release works like a charm. Also got a fender trunk grabber off him. Thanks again. Please more suggestions for rubber. So far I'm sold on bfg
