A teen's early morning joyride ended with little joy for a homeowner Monday.
Sarnia police say a 16-year-old is expected to face charges after he stole his parents' vehicle and drove it through a Modeland Road house during a joyride early Monday.
The vehicle – a 2016 Dodge Challenger – crashed through a brick wall at the front of the house and ended up on the back patio, police say.
No one was home at the time of the crash, police say. The house is now being assessed for structural integrity.
The teen driver was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries, police say. He remains in hospital under observation.
Sarnia police are continuing their investigation.
