Big numbers coming from the 2nd generation 3.5L Ecoboost V6 in the upcoming 2017 F-150. 375 hp & 470 lb.ft. of torque, backed by a new 10-speed auto trans that is a joint design with General Motors. Seeing that, I think we can expect over 400 hp when the numbers are announced for the 2017 Raptor F-150.

The big man himself said over a year ago that the figure will be somewhere in the area of 450hp.
nice numbers for a little engine, but what are people hauling that they need 470 ft.lbs torque?..... nevermind, i forgot where I was.
This should find it's way into new Explorer that is on the way too.
I have heard that some are experiencing problems with the time chains on these engines. Is this a real issue? If so has Ford addressed it and corrected it?Quote:
