Through an odd coincidental connection of unrelated acquaintances, I recently came into the possession of some Mustang memorabilia.
A real estate agent couple and close friends of mine that I have known for over a decade through the Richmond Hill Curling Club, gave me some posters and magazines they had found while emptying a residence for sale in Mississauga. One of the posters caught my attention as it was signed by Jack Roush! But what really caught my attention was the “To Donald Roy”.
Donald “Don” Roy passed away in 2011. For those that weren’t around back in the GTAMC days, he was 03 RCode. Quite possibly one of the biggest Mustang enthusiasts and kindest persons I have ever met through this Mustang community. To me, he looked like Santa Claus, with a twinkle in his eye, and a kind personality that lit up the room. He was famous for doing grass skirt anti-rain dances to keep our Mustangs dry during events.
This poster will be proudly displayed in my Mustang themed garage. Miss you Don Roy.
