7” grinder, 4 1/2” grinder, sawzall…. Pretty much threw everything I own at it
And gave it the Uncle Buck salute

Now I’m where I should have been last week.

Thanks for the tip ZR. I don’t think my engineering brain would have come up with this brute force solution, but it’s what it needed.

^ Happy to help Don. Know it seems like a ridiculous way to go about it but many times it's the only route to the finish line. Never ceases to amaze me how many hours a job like that can piss away but satisfying when done.

Shop looked like a tornado hit it. Had to do a complete clean and reset this morning before proceeding with installing the lower control arms. Couldn’t work in the chaos and mess.
It was down to the wire getting it done as I had to make a run to PA mid-afternoon to get new grease nipples. Broke one during the install.
Was so busy getting it done, didn’t even get to snap any progress pics until after the test drive.

Whole front end is now new. Upper and lower control arms including bushings and ball joints, inner and outer tie rod ends, shocks, and wheel bearings. Only things still original are the sway bar end links and bushings.

In for an alignment tomorrow morning.

Do I see greaseable bolt kit Don? If so, money well spent.

Yes, got the Moog greasable cam bolt hardware. Don’t care to go through this process again. But TBH, if I get another 8 years or 200k out of this setup …will be somebody else’s problem.

Good idea regardless, makes alignment possible yrs down the line.
