    Snow Tire Options

Looking at getting a set of snows for my new truck. My favourite snow tires General Altimax Arctics are sadly discontinued. Too many to choose from! Going with a set of 17"x7.5" steelies and was thinking of 275 or 285/70/17. Opinions please.

I went with cooper discoverer AT/W all weather tires and they are phenomenal. Honestly better than any dedicated snow tire I have ever used.

The best ice and snow tire I've ever used are the brimstone blizack. But they are pricey

What truck? Think 275/70 and 285/70 is larger than stock on an f150, I have 265/70/17's for mine...I could be wrong though.

I have 285/65/20 BFG All Terrains on my 2016 right now but want dedicated winters on 17 steelies.

Dealer is recommending Toyo Open Country WLT1's but they have mixed reviews for icey conditions. Not sure if Blizzaks come in an LT.

Either of the above would tie for first followed closely by the Coopers.
