    So should he port and polish his heads? Or buy more shiny parts?

    Also want to hear the reasoning behind speed density cams. Inquiring mind.

    I would think it wouldn't hurt to at least polish the heads.

    But hopefully someone can answer about porting.

    I also want to add, answer based on the parts he listed. Don't start telling him to change everything. .

    Definitely do a port match to the largest gaskets available, regardless of head brand/model. You can do this with the valve train installed. Same for the lower intake.
    Polishing the combustion chamber can be beneficial, particularly if the valves are out, but I wouldn't bother if you don't want to pull the valves for that.

    I've checked the lower intake ports against the head ports... Head ports are larger so I don't believe I need to do any port matching...

    And yes, would rather avoid taking the valves off the heads if I'm not doing any porting...
