can a standard shock be mounted upside down and still function properly?
that was a fun morning... avoided a crash that would have wiped out my door and instead she hit my wheel and a bit of my 1/4 panel (no dent)... The new S550 survived a rampaging F150 this morning...
Not sure what to do... I don't want to deal with insurance (not my fault) and I think the damage is less than $1000 (I'll get a quote this morning)... Do I need to report it? I got her to sign an admission of guilt, took pics of her papers, the location and saved the footage from my dash cam (albeit I don't think there's much proof of anything other than me speeding up to avoid the crash and a some choice words including but not limited to fucking ****... lol
Typically I would say report no matter what.
Used to work with a guy that was in a minor fender bender. Totally the other drivers fault but in a mood of goodness my coworker said don’t worry about it I work in a body shop It’s. It that bad.
He didn’t report it but got a call from the police later because the other guy did and said it was my coworkers fault and claimed a lot more damage than was a result of the fender bender. It ended up going on my coworkers insurance because no cameras or proof one way or the other.
The police even wanted to charge him with leaving the scene and failing to report an accident
